eLove

"eLove - a Musical.com/edy" by Wayland Pickard (additional Lyrics by Sherry Netherland and Deborah Johnson), currently playing at the Victory Theatre in Burbank, is best seen by adults over 55 years old.

Set in two different apartments, enter Frank (Lloyd Pedersen) and Carol (Bobbi Stamm), gleefully singing about how wonderful it is to be single again.  When both of their friends cancel evening festivities, the newly-single duo searches an online website called eLove.com for their perfect match.  Upon meeting through the website, Frank and Carol find comfort chatting with one another about their exes -- that is, until they realize they are indeed each other's ex.  Although the story has been told, the puns have been overused since computers were invented, and the two voices singing the songs never "clicked," the show is something to be cherished by those older than 55 without a modern sense of humor.  Pointed out by my date: "It was an overly long Carol Burnett Sketch."

Although, I didn't enjoy it myself, there were plenty of laughs amongst the crowed, so that is something to be said.
