Leigh Kennicott worked extensively in film and television before returning to the University of Colorado to earn her Ph.D. degree in 2002. Since then, in Los Angeles, she has directed a neo-realist "Romeo and Juliet" at the Secret Rose Theatre, “Charlotte Second Chance,” for DramaGarage “How I Learned to Drive,” and “Nickel and Dimed” among others.
She has been a theatre reviewer for Backstage West, Los Angeles Weekly and the Pasadena Weekly, and writes entertainment features for Arroyo and Verdugo Monthly Magazines. When she is not reviewing for StageHappenings, she teaches theatre topics at California State University and College of the Canyons.
